Hello,
I am Mr. Hernandez and this will be my second year teaching 5th grade at Twombly Elementary. I am excited to be teaching in the school I grew up learning at many years ago. I have now been teaching five years and have loved teaching and coaching sports since I began doing it. Before I became a teacher, I was in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces SSgt. I worked in Law Enforcement and also worked many security missions while I was in the military. After my military career, I worked law enforcement and had the choice of working a Federal Agent but decided I enjoyed helping young kids much more. My goal as an Educator is not only to help the students achieve their educational goals but also teach many of our young generation how to be successful in an out of the classroom by teaching them life lessons which will apply to them for the rest of their lives. I also have my own family with three children and enjoy coaching, playing a variety of sports and love traveling as often as I can. I am looking forward to this year and hope I can help every student I come in contact with.
