Raina Medina currently teaches at Twombly Elementary.  She transferred from Aims Community College to the University of Northern Colorado to earn a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a major in Hispanic Studies focusing on Mexican American History, a minor in Spanish, and an Elementary teaching license.  She continued her education at the University of Colorado where she earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and obtained endorsements in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education.

Mrs. Medina began her teaching career in the Fort Lupton School District where she spent the first six years of experience teaching 4th grade in the Bilingual Program.  Then she switched to 2nd grade where she spent four years before moving to first grade.  This is Mrs. Medina’s 6th year in first grade, where she continues to share her joy of learning with the students.
