I re-joined Weld Re-8 in 2018 as District MTSS, ECE and Assessment Coordinator.  I previously worked in the district at Butler Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher and Reading Interventionist from 2004-2013.  I then served in the St. Vrain Valley School District as a Dean of Students.  I look forward to working in Weld Re-8 as the Principal of Twombly Elementary starting the 2023-24 school year.  I am a graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver where I earned my BA in English and Elementary Education.  I also attended CU Denver and earned my MA in Leadership and Administration.  I live in Brighton with my husband Darryl and son Brock.  We keep busy through youth sports with our son, visiting family in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska, skiing and snowboarding and other Colorado activities.

I am excited to be a part of the Twombly Elementary administration team. I joined Weld Re-8 in 2021 as the Assistant Principal at Butler Elementary. Previously, I worked at the District level as an Exceptional Student Services Coordinator in Thompson School District as well as Summit School District. I have been an educator for over 20 years at all levels preschool through high school with the majority of my time at the middle level as a special education teacher. My passion for education comes from my sincere belief that each learner has the potential to achieve and deserves a remarkable education with high expectations. 


I earned my most recent Masters degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and my first Masters degree of Education in Elementary and Special Education from Nazareth College of Rochester. At the University of Rochester in New York, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in American Sign Language.  


I currently live in Loveland with my husband and two elementary-aged children as well as our two dogs and two horses. We enjoy outdoor adventures including hiking, fishing, camping, skiing/snowboarding, and horseback riding. We love to spend time with family and close friends too.
