Reading Interventionist/MTSS Coordinator

Arlette Bates was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She moved to Fort Lupton in 1997. Both of her children graduated from the Fort Lupton School District. In 1997, Arlette became a para educator at Butler Elementary; she served in the computer lab, classrooms and as a Special Education para. During this time she earned her BA in Elementary Education with an endorsement of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. Arlette became a first grade teacher in 2006 at Twombly Elementary. In 2010 she became the reading interventionist and MTSS (Multi-Tiered Support Systems) coordinator serving Kindergarten thru Fifth students at Twombly. She is also a member of the D.A.C. (District Accountability Committee) for the Fort Lupton School District. Arlette believes that with the right guidance and support children can become whatever they want to be. You might see Arlette at the Fort Lupton Recreation Center working out or around town walking her corgi, Chester.
